As Magid's HR Generalist, you will proactively partner with leaders on employee relations, performance management, engagement, policy interpretation and compliance related activities. By collaborating with your HR team member, you will work to effectively support the business as well as provide solutions that strengthen Magid values and improve performance. You will provide guidance to team members and bring resolution to challenges that get in the way of a great culture and achieving business objectives while maintaining a strong connection to our business. The HR Generalist at Magid is an ambassador for the Magid culture.
As our HR Generalist you will:
- Act as cultural ambassador to foster desired cultural shifts needed to accelerate growth and drive increased team member engagement.

Provide guidance and direction on change activities within business units across the organization. Engage with key business units within and outside of HR to maintain a pulse on the business and cultural environment.

Maintain awareness of local and federal human resource-related laws and help clients strategically integrate effective employee relations processes, programs and practices into their daily operations to ensure compliance with company values, procedures, and state and federal laws.

Investigate and resolve complaints, issues, and concerns regarding employment practices; investigate misconduct and provide resolution recommendations.

Lead and partner with HR on employee experience efforts that include team member feedback sessions, the Forum, engagement activities, performance reviews, and talent management.

Partner with various HR functions on several projects, including but not limited to onboarding, separation process, unemployment claims, workers compensation, and HR metrics.

Provide benefits support to Benefits Manager and execute benefits-related activities.

Manage the HR inbox and communication with temp agencies.

A relationship builder with excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization

A driver of results!
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent business and management experience

5 – 7 years of broad, progressively more complex experience; HR experience in multiple functions, such as generalist, HR operations and training.

Ideally Spanish-speaking to support our operations department.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills required

Strong, working knowledge of employment law

Experience working with a Human Resources Information System and/or confidential data management system

PHR or SPHR certification

Experience in preventing and /or responding to EEOC claims #IND1
