JMA Pediatrics is looking for a manager with expertise in Data Analytics and Healthcare Reporting to join our expanding, executive management team. The position is responsible for:
- Developing the data analytics strategy in collaboration with the management team and ensuring the data analytics team executes the strategy effectively
- Critically assessing the data and reporting infrastructure to improve accessibility and usability of the data as well as consistency in criteria and data queries for specific data elements
- Work with management team to establish positive and collaborative team leadership within the organization
- Mentoring, training, developing, and motivating the data analytics team members
- Providing structure, clarity, and direction for the data analytics team by prioritizing reporting requirements
- Translating reporting requirements of owners, administrative, front office, and clinical operations into data sets and dashboards that meet the needs of the end users
- Timely and efficient response to ad hoc reporting needs for key decision makers
- Collaborating with operations to validate data sets
- Supporting end users during testing, validation, training, and implementation of new dashboards and reports
- Building relationships and connections with similar healthcare organizations to drive data informed improvements in patient outcomes and financial performance
Functional experience
- Utilizing SQL, Microsoft Access, & other query languages
- Excel (advanced knowledge of formulas, functions, & pivot tables)
- Data visualization programs such as PowerBI, Tableau or SSRS
- Project management skills are essential to manage the reporting requirements of multiple stakeholders, retaining responsibility for all reports, and ensuring their completion
- Experience working with large, healthcare-related datasets is required
- Proven capability to use analytics to address complex business issues
Professional experience
- Communicating data results, trends, and insights to multiple levels of an organization and end users with varying levels of knowledge of analytics
- Explaining KPIs, metrics, and result analyses in a way that informs and impacts decision making
- Robust analytical, problem solving and decision making
- Finding challenging problems, identify root causes, and researching & developing creative solutions
Education with a focus on analytics, finance, and/or accounting is essential and advanced education such as a MBA is a definite plus.
Compensation will be determined based on several factors including relevant work experience, education, skills, certifications, and other competencies that align with the role.
