Position Overview:
As a Quality Manager at our manufacturing facility in Moore, SC, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality across our production processes. You will lead and manage a dedicated team of quality professionals to uphold our commitment to delivering superior products that meet or exceed customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance Leadership:

Develop and implement comprehensive quality control systems and procedures to maintain product quality throughout the manufacturing process.

Establish quality metrics and KPIs to monitor production performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Supplier Quality Management:

Collaborate with suppliers to establish quality standards and resolve quality issues in a timely manner.

Conduct supplier audits and assessments to evaluate performance and capabilities.

Implement corrective actions and preventive measures to address supplier quality issues and enhance overall supply chain reliability.
Team Management and Development:

Lead a team of quality engineers and technicians, providing guidance, training, and mentoring to ensure professional growth and development.

Foster a culture of quality consciousness and accountability within the team and across departments.

Encourage teamwork and collaboration to achieve quality goals and objectives.
Continuous Improvement:

Drive Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to streamline processes, reduce waste, and improve overall manufacturing efficiency.

Champion root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.

Engage cross-functional teams to implement best practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Customer Focus:

Collaborate with customer service and sales teams to address customer feedback and ensure timely resolution of quality-related issues.

Proactively communicate quality performance metrics and improvement initiatives to stakeholders and senior management.

Act as a customer advocate within the organization, ensuring that customer requirements and expectations are met or exceeded

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in heavy equipment or automotive industries.

Proven track record of implementing quality systems and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team towards achieving quality goals.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a detail-oriented mindset.

Experience with quality tools and methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, FMEA, and Root Cause Analysis.

Understanding of ISO and JIS guidelines

Strong knowledge of Paint, Fabrication, Assembly, Inspection operations preferred

Basic knowledge of the Japanese language and culture a plus

Effective communication skills with the ability to interact confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
