The accounting team at Century Heritage is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join our growing institution.
The successful accountant is responsible for:
· Conducting all accounting functions including daily balancing, journal entry preparation/posting and all reporting functions.
· Assisting management in ensuring that accounting functions are completed in accordance with established procedures, policies, regulations, and GAAP.
· Assisting management in ensuring that proper Credit Union wide accounting controls are in place.
· Assisting with the period-end closings and generates various reports.
· Preparing daily, monthly, annual, and other periodic financial statements, records, and reports as necessary.
· Ensuring that records, statements, and reports are in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and government regulations.
Success in this position looks like:
· Within 90 days, you’ll have a solid understanding of our accounting and business processes, goals, and objectives.
· By 6 months you will be able to perform all duties and responsibilities thoroughly, accurately, and efficiently. You will have the ability to work well with the accounting team and all other areas of our business.
· Future success in this role will be measured by your ability to make high-quality decisions related to projects and deliverables with minimal guidance and demonstrate awareness and proficiency in performing responsibilities and tasks.

You should get in touch if:
· You have a minimum of two years of accounting experience or an Associate degree in Accounting or Finance.
· You have a thorough knowledge of accounting and financial operations, including automated financial and accounting systems.
· You have a solid working knowledge of spreadsheet/word processing software, strong communication skills, and an understanding of Windows operating systems.

Final pay is based on several factors including but not limited to the applicant’s education, work experience, certifications, etc.
