### Job Title: Technical Director (Interim Position)
This position will be on an interim basis through November 30, 2004 with the possibility of becoming a permanent role, based on need and performance.

**Position Overview:**
The Rogue Valley Timbers Soccer Club is seeking an experienced and dynamic Technical Director (Interim Position) to join our leadership team. The Technical Director will play a critical role in shaping the club's technical vision and leading our coaching staff to ensure the consistent application of our methodologies and player development strategies. **Key Responsibilities:**
**1. Technical Leadership:**
- Develop and implement a long-term technical plan aligned with the club's vision and values.
- Provide leadership and guidance to coaching staff to ensure consistent implementation of coaching methodologies and player development strategies.
- Oversee club methodology, style of play, and management roles, including Director of Coaching (DOC), Camps/Special Programs Director, and Goalkeeper (GK) Director.
- Assist coaches in resolving parent and player disputes.
- Participate in strategic planning to enhance the club's growth and development.
**2. Curriculum Development:**
- Design and maintain a comprehensive player development pathway that encompasses technical skills, tactical understanding, physical conditioning, and mental preparation.
- Continuously update and refine the curriculum to reflect best practices and emerging concepts in player development.
- Oversee player development programs across Premier, Classic, and Recreational levels.
**3. Player Identification and Development:**
- Implement a systematic approach to talent identification and player development, focusing on nurturing individual talent and maximizing potential.
- Collaborate with coaching staff to identify players for advanced training programs and opportunities.
- Organize and run tryouts, including managing check-in staff, evaluators, and team selection processes.

**4. Club Integration:**
- Work closely with other club departments, including operations, administration, and marketing, to ensure seamless integration of technical programs with overall club operations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to promote a cohesive club culture and enhance the overall player experience.
**5. Community Engagement:**
- Alongside the Executive Director, represent the club in the local soccer community and actively engage with parents, players, and stakeholders to promote the club's mission and values.
- Foster positive relationships with local schools, organizations, and governing bodies to support the growth and development of soccer in the Rogue Valley.
**6. Rogue Memorial Challenge:**
- Serve as a member of the leadership team providing support for the Rogue Memorial Challenge (RMC).
**7. Strategic Plan Support:**
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the Rogue Valley Timbers strategic plan.
**Qualifications:**
- Proven experience in soccer coaching and player development at various levels.
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and guide coaching staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Deep understanding of soccer methodologies, player development pathways, and curriculum design.
- Ability to work collaboratively with different departments and stakeholders.
- Passion for community engagement and promoting the growth of soccer.

ABOUT THE ROGUE VALLEY TIMBERS SOCCER CLUB
We were originally founded in 1974 as The Rogue Valley Soccer Club and changed our name to the Rogue Valley Timbers Soccer Club in 2013. We are a non-profit 501-c3 organization with the mission of providing opportunities for children of all ages and abilities, to enjoy the game of soccer, in a healthy and safe environment regardless of their socioeconomic status.
The Rogue Valley Timbers is currently one of the largest youth soccer clubs in the State of Oregon and one of the largest youth organizations in the Rogue Valley. Each year RVTSC provides an opportunity to play soccer to over 1500 boys and girls ranging in age from 5 to 18 years old.
The Rogue Valley Timbers maintain member affiliation with the Oregon Youth Soccer Association, US Youth Soccer and US Club Soccer.
Job Type: Part-time
Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
