TBEI is looking for a Territory Sales Manager for our Southeast region.
The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for selling TBEI products both directly to end user customers as well as selling TBEI products into OEM Truck Dealerships throughout the assigned region. The Territory Sales Manager will reach his or her business targets through effective management of their designated territory and physical visits to customer sites using Company provided equipment to perform product demonstrations to generate sales activity. This individual will also develop ongoing, profitable relationships with customers and continually maintain a professional image of the company. Integrity, passion, and in-person presentational skills are essential for this role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Establishing and maintaining new and existing distribution & dealer customers through company visits and contact calls. End-user pull through sales programs through our distribution and dealer direct network.
- Dealer – Direct Sales for Class 8 (Duraclass)
- Presenting product information to increase and maintain sales
- Training distribution / dealer sales staff on products, demonstrations, and dealer/prospect calls
- Accurately completing estimates and developing customer sales programs when needed
- Assisting with customer service including: follow up on customer complaints, troubleshooting, distributing product literature and prices changes, and warranty calls
- Completing distributors call reports, sales forecasting, and assisting with maintaining competitor files
- Demonstrating products and working trade shows
- Establishing warehouse inventory levels
- Attends trade shows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- Valid Driver’s License with good driving record.
- Ability to deal calmly and effectively with customers promoting positive company image.
- Excellent communication, presentation skills.
- Basic computer skills (Knowledge of Word, Excel, Access, & PowerPoint preferred).
- Ability to travel 75-80% of the time. Reside in Atlanta metro area preferred.
- Ability to attend and participate in required company meetings.
- Must be a team player that maintains high integrity while meeting company goals.
- Ability to train distributors as needed. Class 8 knowledge preferred.
- Company knowledge of TBEI, Inc. brands (major manufacturer and distributor of truck dump bodies and hoists) is strongly preferred (warranty procedures, company history, product lines, marketing concepts/team market programs).
- Knowledge of truck equipment industry preferred (major competitors, their products, and knowledge of distributor forecasting).
- Technical knowledge preferred (in hydraulics, steel, various reports creation and calculations, Commercial Driver’s License).
- Three to five years’ sales experience preferred.
