Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Quality Process Engineer to join our team. As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and productivity. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Position summary:
Leads process improvement initiatives focused on enhancing quality, yield, and productivity within manufacturing operations. Oversees the customer return process and ensures adherence to industry regulations.
Qualifications required:
· 3-5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing setting.
· Advanced technical degree in mechanical engineering.
· Experience working with films.
· Expert in verbal and written communication.
· Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Qualifications desired:
· Six Sigma experience
Essential functions and responsibilities:
Quality / Process Engineer:
· Develop comprehensive quality improvement plans.
· Lead proactive initiatives for quality enhancement and process improvement.
· Conduct tests and trials.
· Organize, collect, monitor, and analyze production data effectively.
· Present monthly data results to both management and customers.
· Provide support for the launch of new machines, including Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and implementing launch controls.
· Assist in the launch of new products.
· Enhance process robustness through clear objectives, metrics, and tactics.
· Support the production team in addressing internal quality issues.
· Collaborate with shop floor employees to identify and resolve problems, determining process variables, inputs, and outputs to pinpoint root causes.
· Assist engineering in production trials and the qualification of new machines.
Customer Management:
· Represent the voice of the customer.
· Collaborate with customers to conduct testing for new products.
· Facilitate the implementation of new products and contribute to the development of testing procedures, including new films, suppliers, resins, etc.
· Take ownership of the customer quality return process.
· Coordinate part approval processes with customers.
· Develop and maintain control plans.
· Manage and report on customer scorecards.
· Ensure compliance with government and customer regulations as a compliance officer.
