We are a small, family-owned and operated Low Voltage company. While we specialize in Commercial Fire Alarms, we do also work with security alarms/intrusion, CCTV, Access Control, and other low voltage specialties. We are blessed to be able to expand and are looking for that perfect fit to come on board with us!
This position is for our construction and installations division and will be working under our Foreman and Project Manager on low voltage work throughout the State of Arizona.
Responsibilities:
- Running wire/pre-wiring low voltage projects
- Installation of panels & devices
- Programming alarm panels and interfacing with the central station
- Work with other related trades (HVAC, Electrical, Fire Sprinkler, etc) to tie-in peripheral systems
- Complete pretesting and final inspection paperwork for project closeout
- Inspections with Fire Marshal as needed
- Effectively communicate with team members, Foreman, and Project Manager daily
- Participate in training programs offered by JK Alarms to advance and develop skills
Our Ideal Candidate will have the following Required Skills & Experience:
At least 2 year of experience installing Fire Alarms in a commercial environment.
Programming experience with Firelite, Silent Knight, Potter, and Kidde products; Napco experience is helpful but not required.
Strong troubleshooting, critical thinking skills, and attention to detail are required.
Ability to read and understand various construction documents, including but not limited to Blueprints, Work Orders, Building Plans, and Installation Manuals.
Independent Work: Able to work independently in the field, while maintaining communication with the Office, Foreman, and/or Project Manager for all the various projects and assignments.
High School Diploma / GED
Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
Reliable vehicle and smartphone
Record of consistent, punctual attendance
Able to pass a background check
Physical Requirement: Sitting or standing for extending periods of time as well as walking and transporting supplies in and out of a vehicle and various locations. Must be able to squat, kneel, bend, crawl, and climb. Must be able to carry, secure, and store necessary materials, tools, and utility ladders. Work is performed at client locations often in hot or cold attics. Ability to operate hand and power tools. Able to lift 50 lbs. Able to climb a ladder. Able to work with hands overhead. Good eyesight and color perception to work with intricate components used in electronic equipment.
Work is performed in all kinds of weather at various locations within the State of Arizona. Travel throughout the State may be required.

This position is M-F with varied hours between 5a – 4p, though that can change depending on the season (start early in summer to beat the heat, for example). Overtime work is offered on occasion for those interested in weekend work.
Preferred Skills & Licensing:
Fire Alarm CSA 2 and/or NICET 2 or greater
1+ years of experience installing, repairing, programming, and inspecting Security/Intrusion Alarm, CCTV, Access Control. Honeywell Vista, Napco iSecure, 2GIG, and Alarm.com are the brands we work with the most.
