Reports to: Director of Parent and Youth Support Programs
Schedule: Full time, 37.5 hours/week
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday with flexibility to meet program needs
FLSA Status: Exempt
Starting Rate: $55,000 annually
The YWCA of Western MA is dedicated to eliminating racism and empowering survivors. The YW provides a safe place for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking. Our programs and services include crisis shelter and transitional housing for survivors and their families, counseling, SAFEPLAN court advocacy, community education, supervised visitation, and vocational training for youth. The YWCA provides services at several sites, including Holyoke, Northampton, Westfield, and our primary Springfield campus.

Position Purpose
The YWCA Supervised Visitation Program provides a safe environment for visiting children to interact with their non-residential parent when there have been allegations of domestic and/or sexual violence, dating violence or stalking. The program is designed to increase the safety of the non-violent parent during periods of parenting time. The Direct Care Supervisor is responsible for managing and providing support to interns and staff to ensure each center allows for safe, welcoming, quality and trauma-informed services
Essential Responsibilities

Responsible for daily operation of 3 Supervised Visitation Center sites: Springfield, Dunbar and Florence.

Contribute to all aspects of employee recruitment and retention including interviewing, on-boarding, supervision / coaching, professional development, and evaluation.

Provide supervision to all staff and interns.
-
Provide, facilitate, and ensure training for new employees, within the introductory period, in support of program policy and procedures.

Conduct intakes, as needed.
-
Conduct Orientations, as needed.
-
Case consultation review every 6 months, including risk assessments, if needed.

Review referrals to meet program qualifications.
-
Assign caseload to Intake Coordinator/Lead Visit Monitor.

Schedule families for visits according to site contracts.
-
Conduct and provide coverage for supervised visits, as needed.
-
Run weekly reports in AWARDS.
-
Review intakes, visit notes, progress notes, shift reports, observation notes.
-
Review, modify and enforce policies, procedures and protocols with Program Director, as needed.
-
Provide interventions and deescalate with clients and staff, as necessary.
-
Produce court reports.
-
Keep up with communication with courts, clients, community partners.
-
Networking with probation offices, other SV agencies, community partners and others.
-
Complete of court reports and return to court, as requested.
-
Order program supplies as needed to each site.
-
Run weekly and quarterly reports on our data system.
-
Ensure required documentation is complete and saved appropriately.

Provide regular site shadowing and supervision on a quarterly.
-
Facilitate presentation to educate on supervised visitation program, as needed.
-
Approval of monthly mileage and bi-weekly approval.
-
Complete yearly performance evaluations.
-
Ongoing communication and immediate consultation with Program Director for any incidents related to safety, security, abuse or neglect and case consultation.

Complete incident report for any critical incidents at the sites.
-
Facilitate quarterly team meetings.
-
Attend supervision, trainings and staff meetings as required.

On-call responsibilities, providing direct support to staff.

Ability to represent agency from a management perspective in an active union environment.

Other relevant duties as needed.

Ensure parties are referred as necessary to other internal programs within the YWCA and external resources for domestic violence, batterer’s intervention, counseling, and financial assistance among others.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred) with 3 to 4 years of experience in Human Services, psychology, criminal justice or social work field. (Required)

Prior supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to successfully manage projects. (Required)

Must have prior experience working with victims of violence and/or those who have perpetrated violence in an intimate partner relationship. (Required)
-
Must have experience and knowledge of child development and impact of domestic violence on children. (Required)
-
Familiarity with court systems and legal issues affecting victims of domestic violence. (Required)
-
Must have excellent written, computer skills and organizational skills with preferred experience in court documentation. (Required)

Must have ability to work independently as well as part of a team and be able to work effectively in partnership with program staff and leadership. (Preferred)

Experience with survivors of gender-based violence and exploitation (Required)

Experience addressing the impacts of decisions and actions on multiple communities (Required)

Understanding of both interpersonal and structural racism and bias (Required)
-
Access to reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (Required)

Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
