Imaging & Processing Clerk
Salary: $18.25/hour + DOE
Schedule: Monday -Friday 7:30 am - 4:00 pm

GENERAL PURPOSE SUMMARY
Accepts and processes bank & customer transactions from multiple sources ensuring transactions are balanced, complete, and processed timely; researches missing information, out-of-balance conditions and/or duplicate items; and communicates corrections to the appropriate bank personnel by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Generates electronic check files; retrieves cash letters to and from the Federal Reserve Bank ensuring good image quality of transactions; performs research and analysis to identify and resolve duplicate transactions according to the established procedures and guidelines.
- Balances transactions from various sources, including mail, inter-branch, courier, electronic check files, remote capture sites, branches, Federal Reserve Bank, and/or electronic merchant deposits; communicates corrections to the branches, departments, and/or customers as appropriate.
- Processes and prepares items for imaging and or remittance items in accordance with agreements, bank procedures, and guidelines; balances all manual transactions; researches and corrects out-of-balance items; ships processed transaction items along with cash letters to the Federal Reserve Bank; and prepares physical and electronic copies of deposited items, correspondence, and explanation of benefits.
- Provides technical support and guidance to branches regarding branch capture and payment processing; monitors the transaction scanning workflow from the branches; tracks processing activity to ensure proper billing.
- Receives and logs proof and remittance items from branches and departments; sorts, cleans, and prepares items for imaging; identifies delayed and missing items, and logs and communicates them to the appropriate bank personnel.
- Balances data entry against item entry system; analyzes, researches, and corrects out-of-balance and/or duplicate entries. Operates equipment; cleans, maintains, and communicates equipment malfunctions for repair or replacement.
- Performs other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Minimum: Two years clerical, banking or accounting related experience; or equivalent combination of education/training and experience.
Preferred: One year item processing experience.
SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Ability to keyboard 35 wpm and operate a 10-key calculator by touch required. Spreadsheet experience required; word processing, filing, and general office machines experience preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
REASONING SKILLS:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
