Role Overview:
As an integral part of our team, you will provide clinical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment to oncology and hematology patients in an integrative setting. Collaborate with our Medical Oncologist, Naturopathic Oncologist, Acupuncturist, and clinic staff to offer exceptional patient care. You will also serve as a supportive care practitioner, providing treatment education, survivorship care, and advanced-care planning in collaboration with our Oncology Social Work team.
Minimum Requirements:
- Nurse Practitioner degree from an accredited university
- Minimum of 1 year of outpatient oncology experience
- Hematology experience strongly preferred
- Active Washington state licensure; Medicare and Medicaid participation
- 5 years of Oncology/Hematology experience strongly preferred
- Supervisory experience in healthcare is highly desirable
- Oncology Certification strongly preferred (required once eligible upon hire)
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment planning for oncology and hematology patients
- Clinical triage intake, documentation, and patient follow-up
- Patient care planning within EHR
- Review and approval of patient orders for internal treatments
- Response to in-office infusion reactions and/or adverse events
- Coordination of clinical assessments, treatments, consultations, and supportive care services
- Participation in after-hours calls and hospital rounding
- Documentation of patient diagnoses and treatment plans
- Collaboration with Oncology Social Work team for patient mental health screening and referrals
- Leadership in clinical education committees and community partnerships
- Collaboration with HR Manager and departmental leadership on initiatives including OSHA, Safety Committees, and new program implementation
- Support for integrative cancer treatment approaches
