Residential House Manager (Autism) for an Adult CILA in Oak Park, IL
PACTT Learning Center is seeking a Residential House Manager for an adult CILA serving individuals with autism. The house is located in Oak Park, IL.
At PACTT, Residential House Managers provide day-to-day operational oversight for the services provided to participants. The House Manager serves as supervisor and mentor to assigned DSP staff, engaging in ongoing efforts to develop employee skills and competencies. Activities include providing direct services, managing medications, managing monthly finances, and ensuring both high quality programming and a safe home environment at all times.

Mandatory Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in a related field;
- At least 1 year of experience working with people with autism/developmental disabilities;
- At least 2 years of full-time experience in a residential care program;
- At least 1 year supervisory experience;
- Ability to lift/carry up to 25lbs;
- Ability to twist, turn, bend, stand, climb stairs and kneel;
- Intermediate computer proficiencies;
- Valid driver's license;
- CPI,CPR, and First Aid Certification; and
- Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
Essential Functions:
Administrative/Professional
- Serve as a role model and mentor to assigned staff, demonstrating ongoing efforts to follow all PACTT procedures;
- Demonstrate leadership & problem solving abilities;
- Always present yourself in a professional manner as a representative as PACTT to family members, guardians, and representatives from affiliated agencies;
- Manage assigned work-load effectively by meeting all deadlines;
- Ensure petty cash, participant trust fund, and Link account policies and procedures are fully implemented, in addition to all other house budget procedures;
- Adequately ensure staffing ratios within the house budget, through weekly schedules;
- Ensure that all services indicated in the ISP are being implemented on a daily basis;
- Ensure that program staff maintain daily documentation and recordkeeping on consumer progress on goals established in their service plans;
- Advocate for consumer rights and services;
- Maintain compliance with personnel policies according to the employee handbook;
- Demonstrate knowledge of agency policies for payroll, hiring, training, discipline, termination, and leaves of absence;
- Provide all new staff with On the Job Training, and complete and submit documentation to the training department;
- Maintain compliance with all relevant licensure and accreditation standards and required training (DHS Rules 115, 116, 50, DCFS and CQL Standards);
- Ensure that all vehicle safety procedures are being implemented and the vans are well kept;
- Ensure incident reports are completed and routed according to procedure; and
- Complete other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Participant Interaction
- Demonstrate kindness, courtesy, flexibility, responsiveness and consistency in meeting participant and program needs;
- Ensure all participant medical needs are met in an effective manner;
- Ensure that programming is being delivered on a daily basis and that staff are assisting participants with their activities such as grooming, bathing, dressing etc.;
- Ensure that participants are planning and participating in recreation and enrichment activities in their community;
- Ensure that there is direct and continuous supervision of consumers at the program site and on outings or medical appointments to ensure their safety and therapeutic well-being at all times; and
- Ensure participants are actively engaged in learning new skills described within their ISP’s.
Cleanliness and Order
- Maintain the facilities according to PACTT’s standards;
- Ensure that all program staff can demonstrate knowledge of all cleaning procedures and implement procedures on a daily basis; and
- Update all cleaning related documents, including staff checklists.
