JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for operating the robotic welder, performing quality checks, and basic troubleshooting of any issues that arise during the production process. Responsible for fitting and welding of steel, aluminum, and stainless-steel parts using a robotic MIG processes and ensuring work performed meets safety and quality standards. The Robotic Welder Operator will also be responsible for performing routine maintenance and ensuring that the equipment is functioning at optimal levels.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operate robotic welding equipment to produce high-quality welds.

Monitor production processes and make necessary adjustments to ensure product quality and consistency.

Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure that they meet all required specifications.

Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the production process, such as equipment malfunctions or welding defects.

Perform routine maintenance on the robotic welder to ensure that it is functioning at optimal levels.

Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.

Maintain accurate records of production processes and equipment maintenance.

Read and interpret blueprints, work orders and other instructions to determine specific welding requirements.

Perform manual welding during robot weld cycle, if required
- Ensure all equipment is properly set-up and used in a safe manner and that all safety devices are operational

Monitor equipment and request maintenance when required.

Cross-train as back-up in other areas of the manufacturing plant.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in welding or a related field preferred
EXPERIENCE: 1-2 years related experience

Read and interpret blueprints

Read tape measure, perform simple shop math, convert decimals and fractions to equivalents

Use weld fillet gauges to ensure proper weld size and interpret tolerances
- Read and interpret documents and instructions furnished in writing or verbally such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, quality manuals and procedure manuals
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
