with students and teachers, and provide universal access to library services.
- Understand copyright, fair use, and licensing of intellectual property, and assist users with their
understanding and observance of the same.
Instructional Teacher and Partner
- Act as an instructional partner within the school to design and learning experiences that promote
creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and communication.
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists and instructional staff to design and implement lessons and units
of instruction, and assess student learning and instructional effectiveness.
- Work with ML/UL Librarian to collaboratively develop up-to-date policies concerning such issues as
materials selection, circulation, reconsideration of materials, copyright, privacy, and acceptable use.
- Direct and Facilitate the work of the EL Parent Volunteer Library Committee.
Education:
- A degree in elementary education, library
science, early childhood education or other
related degree preferred.
Experience:
- Library or classroom experience.
Competencies:
- Ability to work with a wide range of abilities
and ages.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Maintain active memberships in professional
associations.
Specialized Skills and Knowledge:
- Experience working with Follett Destiny
preferred.
Working Conditions:
- General office and classroom conditions.
