Job Summary
Spend your days working in an exciting and fun art studio assisting kids with their creativity! We are a brand new studio coming in Studio City. We are looking for energetic and detail oriented creatives who love working with kids and/or adults. We offer adult classes and birthday events too on weekends, if you are looking for a short weekend job! Be part of a supportive team in a positive environment. Part time and Full time available. Temporary positions are June 5 - August 25--perfect for college students and teachers. We also have permanent positions available, too! Art Teacher : Responsibilities and Duties • Interacting with parents and kids in a professional manner • teaching a wide variety of exciting art media • maintaining a tidy art room/studio • communicating effectively with management • having lots of fun creating with kids • providing excellent customer service • working with a team, having a can-do attitude Qualifications and Skills • kind and helpful • love for art and crafts • positive and encouraging demeanor • prepared and organized • ability to multi-task and work in fast pace environment • detail oriented Education Art or Education degree or degree-seeking preferred. We are currently looking for someone to fill a lead teacher role and an assistant teacher where you will teach in our summer programs. Hours would be Monday-Friday 9am-4:15pm We are closed on Thursdays.
What you'll do • Prepare for classes and projects (using provided curriculum) • Lead classes for children ages 5-11 • Interact with parents and caregivers • Maintain materials and supplies What is required • Must be 21 years or older • Willing to submit to a background check • Valid drivers license and auto insurance • Reliable transportation • Able to lift and carry 10-20 pounds frequently • Availability Monday-Friday 9am-5pm for the summer (afternoon shift available). Candidates who have experience working with children in large groups • Passion for working kids • Enthusiastic, patient, and outgoing personalities who can make art lessons FUN! • College education (experienced teachers preferred) • Reliability • Strong interest in Arts and Crafts • Comfortable working in various environments.
