We are currently seeking an Director of Education to join our team at our Carson Campus. In this role you will be responsible for supporting the Campus Director in managing and leading the campus Education Team by overseeing the delivery of quality educational programs and the development and implementation of effective strategies to meet campus student retention, completion, and licensure goals.
Essential day-to-day job responsibilities include:
- Complying with applicable federal and state laws and regulations, accreditor standards, and institutional policies and procedures.
- Supervision and management of faculty members and staff.
- Recruiting, training and developing faculty members and staff.
- Conducting classroom observations on a monthly basis.
- Ensuring student academic progress and on time completion.
- Overseeing job placement department to ensure 80% and above job placement rates for graduates.
- Working with faculty and staff to ensure new and viable externship sites are procured on a regular basis.
- Oversee externship training to ensure on time completion.
- Developing community resources to assist at risk student with social programs.
- Working with faculty members to perform curriculum reviews in order to improve quality of instruction.
- Preparing class schedules to optimize class size for achieving an effective student learning experience.
- Advising all students on a regular basis regarding their progress.
- Advising, coaching, and monitoring all students at risk of violating attendance or academic progress policies.
- Helping administer student surveys and ensuring their timely review; preparing action plans to address concerns and feedback gauged through such surveys.
- Monitoring campus level metrics related to retention, attendance, and completion outcomes to meet the campus and organizational objective.
- Assisting with management of Education department budget, including staff, faculty, and resources allocation to ensure effective Education operations and meeting the critical targets and goals in student retention, completion, and Active Earning Population.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited institution required.
- Minimum 7 years of combined management, teaching and education administration experience.
- Successful track record of effective teaching, curriculum development, and education administration.
- Above average user skills in computer and information technology (e.g. student database, social media, online educational resources).
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work with diverse populations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and lead a team.
- Must know regulatory requirements pertaining to education, be able to interpret and implement regulatory policies and create policies and procedures.
