About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated Quality Control Manager to join our team at a leading cement manufacturing facility. This position is integral to ensuring our products consistently meet the highest quality standards.
Position Overview: The Quality Control Manager will oversee all aspects of the quality control process, including developing and implementing quality control strategies. This role involves managing a team, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive quality management system.
- Oversee the quality control production process, including testing procedures, data analysis, and reporting.
- Lead and manage the quality control team, providing guidance, training, and support.
- Drive continuous improvement activities to optimize quality control processes, increase efficiency, and reduce costs.
- Stay informed about changes in industry regulations and standards to ensure compliance.
- Conduct internal audits and inspections to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Implement preventative measures and corrective actions to address non-conformities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in cement plant operations, process, or lab.
- At least 5 years of supervisory experience in cement quality control.
- Knowledge of ASTM/AASHTO test procedures and standards for cement.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using spreadsheets and other computer programs.
- Excellent leadership and team-building skills.

Work Environment:
- Exposure to chemicals, solvents, fumes, acids, grease, and fuels.
- Frequent exposure to wet/humid conditions and outside weather.
- Work at heights up to 60 feet and in confined spaces.
- Noise levels may be loud.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work 8-12 hours per day, 5 days a week, with occasional weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 75 lbs occasionally.
- Perform tasks on rough, uneven surfaces and varying heights.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
