As a DEI Programming and Events Associate, you will have an excellent opportunity to assist in designing and executing new ideas and events to support JPMorgan Chase’s major events in the DEI space such as our signature woman’s event, Women’s Leadership Day. This role enables the person in the role to work with their manager to partner closely with lines of business, functional teams, geographies, and colleagues across DEI, and learn about their objectives. You will play a vital role in supporting our objectives by assisting in the coordination and execution of impactful initiatives and events. This position offers a valuable opportunity to contribute to our strategic areas while gaining exposure to various aspects of DEI and corporate event management.
Job Responsibilities
- Support the development and execution of DEI events across different communities. One of the biggest events will be Women’s Leadership Day
- Assist in advising business partners and Market Leadership Teams on client event and other local market events
- Participate in evaluating and onboarding external partners and speakers for programs and sponsorships
- Contribute as a thought partner in identifying engagement opportunities for employees and clients from diverse backgrounds
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure programming aligns with branding, controls, and compliance requirements
- Assist in creation of content and agendas for events as well as management of employee volunteers
- Help create and maintain speaker list and ideas for future events
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- 3+ years of relevant experience or exposure in event planning, marketing, or similar fields
- Demonstrated ability to assist in generating and implementing creative concepts for events
- Eagerness to learn and contribute, with a strong sense of accountability and responsibility
- Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders
- Proficient in verbal and written communication
- Ability to manage tasks with attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment and willingness to take on new challenges
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
