Position Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Human Resources Manager to join our team. As an HR Manager, you’ll play a pivotal leadership role in various human resource functions in the employee lifecycle, including but not limited to recruiting, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, etc. If you have a passion for HR, a solid understanding of labor law, and a desire to develop in your career in this field, we invite you to be part of our dynamic team.
Responsibilities: In this multifaceted role, you’ll work under general supervision to ensure alignment with the Human Resources Department’s objectives. Your responsibilities will include:
• Partner with the leadership team to understand and execute A-1’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
- Provide support and guidance to management and staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations or wrongdoing, and terminations.
- Manage the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial exempt and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skill and competencies required for openings.
- Analyses trends in compensation and benefits; research and propose competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
- Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
- Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practice to maintain compliance.
- Help develop and implement performance management tools to provide guidance and feedback to team.
- Ensure job description are up to date and compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations
- Design workplace policies to reduce conflicts and legal issues and improve employee productivity.
- Help shape and maintain organization culture
- Help develop an effective employee rewards and recognition program
- Help plan and execute organizational objectives in conjunction with the leadership team
· All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3-5+ years of proven experience as an HR Manager or comparable
- Knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of prevailing wage and experience with Paycom preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
