This position is responsible for the management, ownership, execution, and development of the team. Additionally, provides technical assistance or direction, guidance, and support to all other divisions of the firm as required (PBK and all subsidiaries).
Your Impact:
Department Management Duties
-
Developing Building Testing reporting standards, Commissioning processes, and training.

Manages day-to-day, month-to-month and yearly business of all Building Assessment and Testing teams, projects, goals, and initiatives throughout all geographic areas.

Organize and direct the building envelope consulting and/or sub-consulting teams to execute the work in an orderly, timely, and coordinated manner. The Director shall be familiar with all aspects and roles of the Consultants on a particular project.

Manage/mentor the project managers and field inspectors.

Sets the standard for training / development of each production team and team member.

Sets and enforces the departmental standards/processes & company standards.

Consistently operates at a high level of management.

Responsible for creating and maintaining reports to management including the development of the department Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)

Prepare quarterly reports to management with department KPI’s
Client Executive Duties
-
Interact regularly with senior representatives of current and prospective clients.

Oversee all client relations, including project team performance and overall client satisfaction.

Demonstrate extremely strong interpersonal skills with an aggressive, yet personable, demeanor.

Key contributor to further defining and implementing the strategic plan and initiatives throughout the region including the growth of the Firm’s consulting groups.

Responsible for the delivery of services, maintaining / supporting the culture and working as part of the management team to follow the established policies and procedures within the office.

Ensure that the project conforms to contractual agreement with the client; meeting the project program requirements, all set budgets, goals, and work assignments for their project team that clearly defines project expectations.

Work closely with the firm’s Marketing & BD departments to develop new opportunities and build relationships.

Promote a support structure to further develop the staff's abilities.

Lead and facilitate meetings and presentations for the Clients.

Occasional travel required.

Participate in professional organizations that are important to our clients.

Active member of the Senior Management Team.

Assist PBK and its subsidiaries as requested with waterproofing/testing standards and technical design details.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

20+ years of Building Enclosure Design / Architectural Design
-
10+ years of successful experience leading teams
-
Understanding of building enclosure codes and industry standards.
-
Customer Service experience
-
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture required, Master's degree preferred. And/or Master's degree in Professional Engineering (Civil or Structural preferred).
