As a MOBILE HEAVY-DUTY TRUCK & DIESEL MECHANIC you will be responsible for performing maintenance inspections, troubleshooting, and repair of heavy-duty and light-duty trucks, fleets, and equipment. You’ll work independently on vehicles that requires a high level of skill with hydraulics, electrical, and diagnostics. You will utilize our mobile truck that is a full shop on wheels and drive to client’s locations to perform repairs and services on-site.
Diesel Mechanic Job Duties
- Review work orders to evaluate the tasks required and inspect trucks for proper performance
- Run diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpret the results to offer suitable solutions
- Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with industry standards
- Schedule and maintain service for industrial machines and equipment
- Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts
- Save and tag parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer
- Examine assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended
- Communicate with service manager if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time
- Document all work performed and make recommendations on the repair order
- Road tests vehicles when required
- Report machinery defects, malfunctions, or safety issues to management
- Participate in training programs, classes and events as requested
Diesel Mechanic Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience working with heavy duty diesel trucks and engines
- CDL preferred, but not required
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work in a high performance, fast-paced team environment

Pay: $71,500.00 - $148,720.00 per year
