Job Description:
As the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance and efficient operation of the plant. This role involves overseeing production processes, managing staff, ensuring quality control, and optimizing operational procedures. The Plant Manager will play a key role in achieving production goals, maintaining high standards of safety, and fostering a positive working environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Leadership: Provide strategic leadership in planning, organizing, and managing plant operations to meet production goals and customer demands.
Team Management: Lead, motivate, and mentor a diverse team of production staff, supervisors, and support personnel to achieve operational excellence.
Quality Control: Implement and maintain robust quality control measures to ensure products meet or exceed industry standards.
Production Planning: Develop and execute production schedules, taking into consideration resource allocation, equipment capacity, and customer requirements.
Cost Management: Monitor and control production costs, identify opportunities for cost reduction, and optimize resource utilization.
Safety and Compliance: Ensure a safe working environment by implementing and enforcing safety protocols and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and increase overall plant performance.
Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, manage stock rotation, and coordinate with logistics to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
Communication: Foster open communication channels within the plant and collaborate with other departments to address challenges and achieve organizational goals.
Budget Oversight: Participate in the development and management of the plant budget, ensuring financial goals are met.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· 10 years of experience in plant management or a related role within the manufacturing industry.
· Proven leadership and team management skills.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
· Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality standards, and safety regulations.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor’s degree in industrial, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
