The Role:
The No Starch Press Sales Coordinator supports our direct business and works to optimize our sales efforts, increase the visibility of our titles, and expand direct sales. The Sales Coordinator plays a key role in enhancing our sales initiatives and ensuring customer satisfaction. The Sales Coordinator reports to the Sales and Marketing Manager.
- Note: This is a remote position but we can only hire from CA, GA, IL, ME, MD, MA, MO, NY, OH, OK, OR, VA, WA.
Your Impact:
- Sales Execution: Handle the processing of direct orders with accuracy and timeliness.
- Communication: Provide timely and effective communication to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
- Sales Materials: Create and ensure the adequacy of sales-related materials.
- Lead Generation: Identify and cultivate potential sales leads through market research and outreach initiatives.
- Collaboration: Work with colleagues from other departments (marketing, editorial, and production) to optimize sales.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales data and generate regular reports to track progress against sales objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and networking skills
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in sales or sales support, preferably within the publishing industry or a closely related field
- Experience as a sales coordinator is a plus
- Well-organized, responsible, and a problem solver
- A highly dedicated team player
- Proficient with tools like Trello, Google Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs), and Monday.com
Tasks:
- Identify prospective customers, companies, etc. for and process direct orders.
- Coordinate and analyze efforts for conferences and events.
- Coordinate our special sales efforts with Humble Bundle, liaising internally with company departments and externally with contacts at Humble Bundle.
- Maintain tracking tools and spreadsheets for direct orders, so all information is accurate and up-to-date.
- Liaise with departments within the company as needed for assets and necessary information to ensure prompt and effective communication and delivery.
- Track direct orders and compile reports for review.
- Collaborate with departments to ensure sales assets are not only informative but also engaging and aligned with our brand identity.
- Identify, document, and present improvements for processes.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,003.00 - $64,955.00 per year
