A 2024 INC Best Workplace, MVB is growing and looking to add a Human Resources Generalist to its team.
Position Overview
The human resources generalist position is responsible for supporting MVB and its clients with recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, training and career development, performance management, compliance, and employee relations. The human resources generalist position also requires the ability to thrive in a collaborative, team player environment and to interface well with clients, team members and MVB leadership.
Primary Duties:
- Assist with HR functions to include recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, training, performance management, compliance, and employee relations
- Assist with HCM System Implementation and Maintenance
- Coordinate recruiting efforts, create offer letters, research job descriptions and assist with the onboarding process
- Design and deliver engaging onboarding programs ensuring a smooth transition into the company through the introduction of company culture, values and policies
- Oversee company benefits including enrollments, changes and terminations
- Assist with company training and professional development
- Assist with the performance management process
- Develop, implement, reinforces and maintain policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with federal and state regulations
- Update and maintain the Employee Handbook
- Assist with employee relations; answer employee questions and concerns in a positive manner while proactively assist in finding solutions
- Guide the escalation, redirection and resolution as appropriate, with empathy and consistency to standards and guidelines
- Maintain visibility with assigned clients and provide regular check-ins and status updates
- Remain current and well-versed in human resources regulations and industry trends
- Recommend new policies and approaches to continually improve efficiency and employee satisfaction
- Exhibit confidentiality with executive, employee, company and client information
- Ability to communicate professionally with executives, internal departments, staff, site teams, clients, subcontractors, vendors, carriers, and candidates
- Assists in the evaluation of results and decisions in relation to company goals and initiatives
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, organizational development or related field or equivalent years of human resources experience
- At least 2-5 years of human resources experience
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and promptly with senior management, company departments, project teams, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and carriers
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Self-start, strong work ethic, and a team player
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism and exercise extreme discretion

This is a full-time, remote, benefits eligible position. Flexible start time within regular business hours, Monday through Friday.
