Will work in concert with the administration, directors and physicians in development and operations of services
Leads organization in achieving peri- operative services growth and achievement of advanced EBP standards of practice.
Provides administrative direction for development and evaluation of all nursing personnel, and maintains operational aspects of the patient care unit in collaboration with support services.
Contributes to nursing and the hospital through support of philosophy and objectives, educational and research efforts.
Accountable to assure that HCAHPS, patient, employee, and physicians satisfaction scores are all in acceptable ranges and improving.
Accountable for building and directing teams to improve core measures and other Joint Commission initiatives.
Assures department is Survey ready at all times, including nursing documentation, facility, and all National Patient Safety Goals.

Qualifications
Requirements:
Five (5) years in peri-operative services as a Manager and leadership abilities.
More than five (5) years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse.

Graduate of an approved/accredited School of Nursing or equivalent.
BSN required.

Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and policy/procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, patients, staff and the general public.

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical/clinical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Able to direct teams to improve scores and coach critical thinking skills.

Ability to manage all emergencies, a fast paced environment and handle multiple priorities at one time.
Must be capable of making decisions under pressure as well as appropriately managing the anger, fear, hostility and violence of others.
A good communicator and treats all staff in a fair and consistent manner. Serves as a coach, mentor and role model for other staff members.
