CMM Programer Quality Inspector Aerospace Machined Parts
Our firm is a well-established and growing precision machine shop located in the Northern Anaheim area. We manufacture for the US Defense and Aerospace industries close tolerance aircraft precision machined parts made from various aircraft grade alloys.
We are seeking a hands on PC-DMIS CMM inspector / programmer for full time work on site to assist our Quality Department in Anaheim. Being on site at our facility is required to either inspect parts on our CMM or create programs and train the staff in usage. Must communicate effectively with co workers and be a team player.
Some Duties include but are not limited to:
- Work closely and communicate effectively with the Quality Manager, Programming staff, and Production Managers to achieve product quality and production goals.
- Program both from supplied Models, or ad hoc from drawings for in process inspection, as well as final inspection.
- Program Hexagon CMM using PC-DMIS for one off and programmed parts inspection. Both offline and online inspection of parts.
- Improve efficiencies making bubble drawings or reports from our CMM.
- Train QA staff how to run programs and check repeat order parts during your absence.
- Assist and perform daily mechanical parts inspection functions: perform in-process, first article AS9102 and final inspection of precision machined parts performed by the quality team staff.
- CMM parts inspection experience using PCDMIS is required.
- Ability to read and interpret GD&T ANSI Y14.5 engineering drawings
- Complete AS9102 First Article dimensional inspection reports.
- Support the Operations Manager and Quality Manger or Supervisor as directed.
Requirements:
- 4 years prior QA hands on parts inspection experience, or prior machine shop machinist experience will suffice.
- Solid experience using PC-DMIS CMM software.
- Ability to read and interpret GD&T ANSI Y14.5 engineering drawings
- Shop math, trig, knowledge required
- Computer skills, such as email use, MS Word, Excel creation, scanning, PDF file saving,
- US Citizenship required or equivalent for our US Govt contracts.
- Effective communications and skills: must be able to effectively speak, write emails and telephone communications with the suppliers and customers.
- Must be fluent in English and able to communicate effectively as above. Bilingual spanish, or Vietnamese is helpful too.
- Attention to detail, ability to read, write. Cognitive ability to perform the job with a minimum of errors or omissions.
- Able to sit, stand, walk 8 hours a day. Lift and move machined parts weighing up to 30 lbs.

Monday through Thursday, Four Tens, First shift. Some Overtime is possible. Actual work days and shift times can be negotiated.
