The Income Audit Clerk performs the day-to-day activities associated with accounting including the income audit, reconciliation of all miscellaneous codes, posting required journal entries, and preparing routine reports from records in accordance with company policy. This position works closely with other accounting staff, hotel finance staff, and corporate finance.
Duties and Essential Functions
- Income audit - collection of data, creating/processing, and distributing reports
- Reviews and reconciles daily revenues using hotel system reports (OPERA, Micros, Delphi, Spa, and Retail systems)
- Audits and verifies daily income journal to support revenue journal entries
- Performs audit support by ensuring the integrity of archived source data files
- Performs month-end close with detailed reconciliation of all miscellaneous OPERA postings and preparation of journal entries to book the miscellaneous codes to the general ledger
- Compiles and provides house check details daily to hotel staff and posts required entries during month-end
- Verifies all revenue postings between Delphi and POS system; follows up with hotel staff with discrepancies
- Performs daily cash audit in the Evention system
- Identifies and re-classes any GL discrepancies found between DataVision and Oracle
- Regularly maintains contact with all relevant hotel staff to ensure audit needs are met
- Regular attendance in conformance with standards
- May be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needs of the hotel

Required:
- Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Knowledge of financial accounting systems (Oracle ERP helpful)

Education: Associate of Science Degree in Business/Accounting, or equivalent experience
Experience: Three years experience in Hospitality Accounting with a good understanding of Generally
