We are the largest private provider of residential and community-based services for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in the state of Kentucky. We are a local non-profit organization founded in 1970 by Louisville-area parents of people with IDD. What you’ll do:
The housekeeper shall ensure the clean, sanitary, and continuously stocked condition of all areas of the residential buildings.

Complete upkeep of the Residential Buildings including cleaning all bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, dining rooms, bedrooms, corridors and walkways, and storage rooms. This includes but is not limited to dusting, wall washing, windows, and vacuuming of all carpets.

Supply all facilities in the Residential Buildings with items such as toilet tissue, hand towels, garbage bags, cleaning and laundry supplies, etc.

Sweep and mop all tile floor areas.

Vacuum and shampoo all carpeted floor areas.

Clean/dust all baseboard, wall, window, door and ceiling areas and fixtures.

Obtain and maintain a working knowledge of the use of cleaning chemicals.

Empty and clean all trash containers.

Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and requesting needed items from supervisor.

Replenishing paper and soap supplies in restrooms, kitchens, nurse stations and other areas.

Make notes of all potential safety hazards, mechanical repairs, and security breaches and reporting the same to their supervisor.

Performing other tasks as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager.
What sets you apart:

High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.

Valid Indiana or Kentucky driver’s license.

Two years’ experience preferred.
What your typical schedule looks like:

Part-time, hourly, 16 hours per week. May include occasional weekends and evenings to meet resident/family and facility needs.
