The Opportunity:
As an Escrow Officer at Mutual Escrow, you will be at the heart of our operations, managing your portfolio of transactions from start to finish. This role is about more than just processing paperwork; it's about being a trusted advisor to our clients and a key player in the final stages of property sales and purchases. You will have the freedom to manage your workload and the support to grow your expertise. While the role demands independence, you will never be isolated, with opportunities for mentorship and collaboration at every turn. Our team, comprised of senior certified escrow officers, attorneys, and other officers, will be available for any questions or guidance through transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain multiple escrow files, ensuring all deadlines are met and all parties comply with legal and financial requirements.
- Prepare and review legal documents, such as contracts, deeds, and title documents, ensuring their accuracy and completeness.
- Act as a liaison between all parties involved in the transaction, including buyers, sellers, real estate agents, and lenders, to ensure a smooth closing process.
- Review and approve funding and disbursement instructions, ensuring that all funds are distributed correctly and in a timely manner.
- Provide excellent customer service to all parties involved, responding promptly to inquiries and addressing any concerns or issues that arise.
- Ensure that all escrow files are closed accurately and timely, including recording documents with the appropriate county recorder's office.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years of experience as an Escrow Officer
- Extremely proficient with the standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the escrow industry
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven track record of 5-star client experience
