SUMMARY
We are seeking a talented and motivated Back-end Web Developer to join our Marketing team. As a Backend Web Developer at Bright MLS, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining the backend infrastructure that powers our web applications. You will collaborate closely with the Director of Creative Services, as well as the Sr. Front-End Web Developer, to ensure a cohesive and high-performing user experience across our digital platforms.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Collaborate with the Director of Creative Services and other team members to understand project requirements and objectives.

Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain backend solutions for Bright MLS web applications.

Work closely with the Sr. Front-End Web Developer to integrate front-end components with server-side logic, ensuring seamless functionality and optimal performance.

Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality, performance, and adherence to coding standards.

Troubleshoot and debug issues to ensure the stability and reliability of web applications.

Stay informed about industry trends and best practices, and proactively suggest improvements to enhance the overall development process.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UX/UI designers, product managers, and QA engineers, to deliver high-quality solutions on time.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

6+ years of software development experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing successful projects.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Must have proficiency in server-side languages with C# and Node.js/Typescript.

Must have experience with AWS services such as Lambda, S3, API Gateways, SQS and more.

Must have experience in debugging Lambda services using Serverless.

Must know how to create a unit test using testing frameworks such as Jest.

Understands and can query relational and NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB, Aurora, Sql Server, MySql, and Redshift.

Understands software design patterns, SOLID principles, and has experience with them.

Experience with microservices architecture is a plus.

Experience with Java and MVC frameworks, a plus.

Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and REACT is a plus.

Experience with Jira for project management.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
