Job Title: ACCOUNTING CLERK

Summary Description:
Provide information to other departments and outside agencies as required.
Essential Functions:
Ø Perform month end duties as required including Journal entries and cash reconciliations.
Ø Review daily lockbox deposits, verifying total cash receipts to cash applied to customer accounts and reconcile the bank account monthly
Ø Maintain open items file on invoice disputes, follow-up and reconcile. This includes chargebacks, unearned discounts or other discrepancy, freight shortages, pricing disputes, open freight claims, etc, until closed
Ø Run and review aging report monthly with the Controller to discuss past due accounts
Ø Maintain petty cash fund and reimburse as needed
Ø Assist with annual audit. Pull invoices and other information per auditor request
Ø Scan invoices received from vendors and save them into the appropriate AP file
Ø Able to Bank Reconciliation and other GL accounts reconciliation on monthly basis.
Ø AP Check run, uploading Check Register to Bank website.
Ø ACH set up and ACH payment information in Bank website for payment to release.
Ø Perform any and all other job related tasks as assigned
Skills or Experience Required:
Minimum of two years accounting experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of accounting/payroll and other sensitive data.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
