Therapist Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Primary Therapist to join our team. Archway Behavioral Health is a new facility owned and operated by individuals who have proven track-records in the substance abuse and mental health fields. We are looking for a therpist who is hard-working and looking for the opportunity to grow with our company. **Optional Zoom part-time caseload available for nightime IOP.**
Responsibilities:
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address clients' emotional, behavioral, and mental health concerns.
- Implement crisis management strategies to support clients in times of distress or emergency situations.
- Provide clinical counseling services using evidence-based practices to promote positive outcomes for clients.
- Utilize behavioral therapy techniques to help clients modify negative behaviors and develop coping skills.
- Apply principles of applied behavior analysis to assess and address behavioral issues in clients.
- Collaborate with special education professionals to support clients with diverse learning needs.
- Stay informed about psychopharmacology to work effectively with clients receiving medication treatment.
- Engage in case management activities to coordinate care plans and resources for clients, ensuring continuity of care.
Experience:
- Proven experience working in an inpatient or outpatient setting as a Therapist.
- Strong knowledge and skills in the areas of pediatrics, individual and group counseling, crisis management, clinical counseling, behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis, special education, psychopharmacology, and case management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to establish rapport with clients and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams effectively.
- Valid licensure or certification as a Therapist (e.g., LPC, LMFT, LCSW) in the state of practice.
