Position Overview:
The 2nd Working Supervisor plays a pivotal role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety standards of the Sea-Tac International Airport in partnership with Great Lakes Facility Management. Leading a team of 3-4 custodial staff employees, the Supervisor ensures that all assigned custodial duties are completed to the highest standards, while fostering a culture of excellence, safety, and teamwork.
Responsibilities:
- Uphold Superior Cleaning Standards:
- Employ coaching, inspection, and accountability to drive excellence in cleaning services.
- Lead by example, assisting in cleaning tasks when necessary.
- Training and Development:
- Train new cleaning staff on proper protocols and standards using a variety of approaches, including videos, pamphlets, and hands-on training.
- Safety Compliance:
- Enforce all safety standards, cleaning processes, and general policies set forth by the airport and Great Lakes FM.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and protocols at all times.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate documentation as required by the airport and Great Lakes FM.
- Address and resolve customer requests promptly and efficiently.
- Complete and deliver reports and other administrative tasks as needed.
- Team Support and Mentorship:
- Provide support and mentorship to cleaning staff to maintain high morale, motivation, and job satisfaction.
General Expectations:
- Adhere to all safety regulations, policies, and standards consistently.
- Follow all Great Lakes FM policies and procedures outlined in the handbook and code of conduct.
- Complete assigned tasks within designated timeframes with efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate effectively with coworkers to achieve the highest standards of cleanliness.
- Communicate any concerns or repair needs to the appropriate personnel promptly.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Support Great Lakes FM initiatives and technological advancements.
- Arrive punctually to scheduled shifts, dressed in uniform, and ready to commence work activities.
- Conduct inspections to identify and rectify any errors in workmanship promptly.
- Ensure all doors are secured according to protocols.
- Assist in the distribution of supplies throughout the campus.
- Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and maximum effort in task completion.
Basic Skills and Physical Requirements:
- Regularly stand and walk throughout shifts.
- Perform tasks requiring kneeling, bending, and reaching overhead.
- Possess understanding of building safety and warning systems.
- Lift weights ranging from 20-50 lbs., with heavier items requiring teamwork.
- Execute cleaning tasks as required.
- Familiarize oneself with Great Lakes FM cleaning protocols and equipment.
- Adapt to the evolving needs of the Airport.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary: Up to $62,000.00 per year
- Health insurance, paid time off

- 9-hour evening shifts, (1:30 pm - 10:00 pm)
