Most work expected to occur at our West Chester, PA facilities - may require travel, typically within 2 hour drive. Regular overnights/extended travel is not anticipated.
Eldredge, Inc. is a transportation and waste management company in West Chester, PA specializing in industrial and commercial clients in the mid-Atlantic region and nationwide. Some of our services include, but are not limited to: waste management, transportation, disposal, remediation and treatment processes, environmental consulting, field services, reporting, and compliance.
Duties:
Sales Management, providing leadership and accountability:
- Direct and coach the sales team to ensure proper protocols and sales operations are being executed efficiently
- Ensure profitability of all proposals sent to customers and manage process to guarantee accuracy and completeness of documentation and scope of work estimates
- Follow business model enhancing growth with accounts requiring sourcing and logistics
- Participate in strategic planning to ensure the sale and success of services, quality management and customer service
- Interdepartmental collaboration with Technical Services, Plant, Transportation, Operations, Field Services, Accounting, and Executive Team to ensure profitable and sustainable growth
- Communicate with Account Managers on potential and current Eldredge clients to identify and solve current and future waste management issues.
- Providing HR functions for staff including hiring additional staff as needed
- Manage Key Sales Accounts as directed
Account Management & Sales, participating in and motivating others:
- Expand sales and new services with existing clients
- Work with Account Managers to develop leads into new customers and new lines of business
- Assist by-product/waste sourcing/approvals by collaborating with Account Managers and Technical Services to provide in-depth information, samples, signed profiles, etc.
- Prepare timely proposals/contracts with detailed scope of work and create presentations/reports
- Remain within pricing structures issued by management unless specifically authorized. Suggest alternative pricing/methods based on market conditions, etc.
- Oversee the compliance and quality control relating to comprehensive documentation such as lead sheets, costs, purchase orders, signed proposals, credit applications/approvals, scheduling requirements, etc. and coordinate with others including Administrative Manager for proper job implementation and completion.
- Communicate client’s needs with Sourcing and Operations to assure timely, quality service
- Communicate account activity to Chief Operating Officer and Director of Business Development on a regular basis
- Prepare and update sales forecasts periodically
- Develop and implement a sales strategy/plan for major accounts
- Utilize and maintain the electronic Proposal Log
Marketing and Business Development, supporting company growth, range of services, and profitability:
- Assist Director of Business Development and Chief Operating Officer with business development and growth opportunities
- Work with Technical Services Team to maximize and qualify outlets for material co-products/by-products/wastes
- Special Projects as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience with bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience in Environmental Sales/Account Management or Sales Experience in the Environmental and related Fields
- Sales, Mentorship, and Customer Service Experience Required
- High School Diploma or GED (General Educational Development) is the minimum requirement
- Excellent communication and analytical skills, detail-oriented
- Must have basic computer skills with Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
- Ability to multi-task and handle dynamic workflow
- Develop and foster relationships with facilities and customers
- Good listening skills and retention/memory
- Ability to accurately enter and manipulate data, maintain a reasonable error rate as determined by departmental standards
- Initiative to follow-up on pending issues
- Effective oral, written, and telephone skills
- Must be knowledgeable of federal, state, and local regulations
- Lifting up to 60 pounds maximum
- Work within scope of job requirements
