Full Job Description:
This is a commercial lines account manager role. This individual must have an active P & C Insurance license. This individual will work with the agency management and producers on managing a book of business. This individual is responsible for the following:
- Complete applications, possibly in coordination with Producer(s); submits applications to eligible and appropriate carriers, follows up to ensure timely receipt of quotations and policies
- Order and issues binders, certificates, policies, endorsements, and other related items; verify their accuracy; forwards them to client with appropriate correspondence.
- Process renewals according to agency procedures. Works on strategy determination, marketing and carrier negotiations sometimes in conjunction with producers
- Process incoming mail and phone requests, responding promptly and appropriately
- Determine reasons for requests for cancellations; acts to save accounts; notify producers
- Identify exposure to loss and recommends appropriate coverages
- Set priorities and manages workflow to ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing of transactions and other responsibilities
- Remarket account and policies as needed
- Weekly renewal meetings with producers
Job Qualifications:
- 5 or more years’ experience as a commercial lines account manager, and currently hold a P&C license.
- Understanding of commercial insurance underwriting, coverage, and rate analysis
- Knowledge of insurance coverage and an ability to communicate this clearly to clients and underwriters.
- Experience in Nexsure or other agency management system.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to organize, prioritize and self-manage workload.
- Must be a self-starter.
- Must be a team player.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
