Job Summary:
Caterpillar Defense is seeking a Supervisory Program Manager to fill a position in the Program Management Division. This position is responsible for coordinating with internal product, engineering, sales and contracting organizations, subcontractors, and external customers to execute business under awarded contracts. Customers can include US Department of Defense and Federal agencies, as well as international allied militaries, Caterpillar dealers and third-party governmental marketing and sales organizations.
What You Will Do:
- Leading the teams that are executing rebuild programs under U.S. government contracts awarded to Caterpillar Defense.
- Serving as the primary Caterpillar Defense interface with the corresponding U.S. Government Program Managers and subcontractors for rebuild programs, including but not limited to machine/diesel engine component product services.
- Evaluating and providing guidance during the general and detailed planning stages of organizational programs; developing strategies to ensure all projects within the program are cohesive and in line with organizational goals.
- Overseeing the hiring, development, and management of all project teams within the program, including both internal staff and external contractors.
- Defining, establishing, and monitoring the program's project management goals.
- Collaborating with business executives on using a disciplined project management approach and coaching them on their project-related roles and responsibilities.
