The Division of Business Operations (DBO), Headquarters Security Office is looking for a highly motivated, individual to fill an Associate Governmental Program Analyst position. This position will be located at 1120 N Street in Sacramento and will have diverse responsibilities ranging from building security to contracts and procurement.
Under the general direction of a Staff Services Manager I (SSM I), the incumbent, with minimal supervision, will function as a security and contracts analyst, working with security operations and building management staff in all phases of security related customer service, including processing and renewing access control and photo identification (ID) badges, working on security reports, explaining basic security policies and procedures, serving as the local point of contact for security related topics, etc. Within the daily duties of this position, the incumbent will also be expected to perform various analytical assignments for the security office and carry out complex contract analyst / contract coordination duties. Exceptional communication is required, and strong organizational skills are a must. Because this position is responsible for performing varied analytical duties for Caltrans’ Division of Business Operations (DBO), great attention to detail is required to ensure the integrity of all security, contract, and procurement documents, and the complete processing of all transactions.

Working Conditions
Position located in Sacramento.
The duties of this position are performed in a climate-controlled office under artificial light. Building temperatures may fluctuate and duties may periodically be performed in a teleworking environment, which includes managing tasks remotely. When travel outside of the office is required, it will be conducted in either a personal or state-owned vehicle, on light rail, or by airplane when required. The primary workspace is a modern office setting, of mixed hard-walled and modular furniture design, containing computer and telecommunications equipment. The position requires sitting for prolonged periods more than 10 minutes at a time and utilizing a computer keyboard and monitor for prolonged periods. Requirements includes the ability to develop and maintain cooperative working relationships as well as respond appropriately to multiple workload requests and conflicting deadlines.
This position may be eligible for telework. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and based on Caltrans’ current telework policy. While Caltrans supports telework, in-person attendance may be required based operational needs. Employees are expected to be able to report to their worksite with minimal notification if an urgent need arises. The selected candidate may be required to conduct business travel on behalf of the Department or commute to the headquarted location. Business travel reimbursements considers an employee's designated Headquarters location, primary residence, and may be subject to CalHR regulations and applicable bargaining unit contract provisions. All commute expenses to the headquarted location will be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable.
