Pavillion Animal Hospital is seeking a Kennel Attendant to join our team and provide excellent care to the animals in our facility. The Kennel Attendant will be responsible for feeding, walking, and cleaning up after the animals, as well as monitoring their health and wellbeing.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working with animals preferred
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including lifting and bending
This role will be responsible for caring for our boarded/hospitalized patients, general cleaning, and communicating with clients. Additional duties include:
- Ensure cages and animals are identified and that personal property (toys, leashes, etc.) are properly stored and identified
- Observe signs of illness, disease, injury, or unusual activity and report to the doctor or assistants
- Accurately record and provide food and liquids to boarded animals
- Thoroughly clean and disinfect the hospital and kennels as often as necessary
- Walk hospitalized and boarded dogs daily
- General housekeeping duties: washing, laundry, cleaning, and organization
- Ensure the hospital and it’s hospitalized/boarded patients are always clean and presentable
