POSITION SUMMARY
Active Health is a small and personalized preventive health center that includes primary care, health coaching and fitness support. Our model shifts focus from the traditionally reactive nature of healthcare to become more proactive. We support patients with tools and resources that help stop and reverse some of the most common ailments by integrating a multidisciplinary approach to primary care.
We are looking for a medical assistant to join our team, working with a provider with a growing patient panel. The role will include direct patient care such as patient and family education, blood draws and specimen collection and preparation, vaccinations, and growing into more responsibilities over time. It will also include administrative duties such as phone calls and preparing documentation for visits. Cross coverage for front desk responsibilities will also be included, such as checking patients in and out, scheduling follow ups, and confirming appointments.

CANDIDATE SKILLS AND ROLE REQUIREMENTS
- Lab management along with lab draws & specimen collection
- Manage continuity of care with local specialists and medical facilities
- Administer vaccines and therapeutic injections
- Perform electrocardiograms
- Support house calls
- Thorough history/progress monitoring and notation
- Notation into our electronic medical record system
- Patient order lifecycle management
- Maintain positive and productive client & team relationships.
- Prepare rooms for visits including in between visit cleaning and stocking.
- Participate in regular corporate development and training programs.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Engage in continuing education & credential maintenance.
- Support in tasks and other duties as asked.
- Knowledge of basic ICD coding (is a plus)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
