Fabletics is looking for a Senior Technical Designer.
As the Senior Technical Designer, you will lead the technical development of apparel styles from design concept and first prototype to a final, production-ready sample by supporting initial tech pack creation. You will lead fittings, advise garment construction solutions, and manage tech packs of higher complexity styles. You will be a self-starter that is solution oriented and can offer cost engineering suggestions that support the brand aesthetic and price point of Fabletics. You will join a team of passionate and energetic individuals working towards our vision to be the world’s most fashionable, innovative and inclusive active-lifestyle brand.
You will report to the Technical Design Manager and partner closely with Design, Product Development, Production and Merchandising teams.
What you will do:

Support creation of tech packs inclusive of technical specifications such as measurement specs, grading and construction details

Will work closely with Designers, Product Developers, Merchandisers, and Production team as well as multiple vendors

Lead fit sessions with cross-functional teams offering technical fit solutions

Facilitate the transition of apparel styles from design concept / first prototype to a final, production-ready sample

Analyze garments to determine compliance of spec, construction, and fit intent from 1st Proto through to pre-production.

Offer mentorship to more junior team members.

Work closely with Product Development, Technical Coordinator and Vendors to ensure samples arrive in a timely manner according to the Development Calendar

Demonstrate strong time management skills and ability to prioritize competing deadlines.

Support maintenance of fit consistency within product categories.

Update tech packs and clearly communicate pattern corrections/style comments with Vendors

Identify and alert design and production teams of potential production, quality and costing issues and making recommendations to ensure brand integrity is maintained

Participate in market research for various construction techniques, new technologies and fit trends/solutions.
What you can bring:

7+ years of experience in Technical Design

Bachelor’s or Associated degree welcome but not required in lieu of experience

Strong background working with both knit and woven fabrics

Seek out innovations in fit or construction to share with Design partners

Exceptional knowledge of garment construction, fit, and finishing
-
Excellent eye for fit, construction, wash and detail
-
Excellent communication skills – verbal, written and presentation

Team player with a positive attitude

Ability to multi-task

Knowledge of PLM, Excel, Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Outlook and Gerber and/or 3D apparel creation software is a plus

Varied for retail and fulfillment roles
The annual base salary range for this position is from $88,300-$100,000. The range provided includes the base salary that Fabletics expects to pay for the role. Offered base salary will be dependent on factors including the scope and complexity of the role, candidate’s related work experience, subject matter expertise and work location.
