RMA of Southern California is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing Los Angeles office. This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday 6:45am - 2:45pm, occasional weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities include:
- Contribute to physicians’ effectiveness by identifying patient care issues; provide information and commentary pertinent to patient care plan; recommend possible options and courses of action as appropriate; implement physician directives
- Coordinate care for assigned patients following the required RMA protocols and procedures, including the appropriate workflow chart processes and performance benchmarks
- Document patient care services in EMR system
- Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional and psychological support to patients; comfort patients by anticipating their anxieties and answering questions and concerns
- Resolve patient problems and concerns by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies
- Patient education in regards to treatment plan and medications through e-learning and other patient education available
- Follow up with patients regarding laboratory values and semen analysis results
- Assist physician with in-office procedures as needed
- Maintain a cooperative and productive working relationship intra-departmentally as well as inter-departmentally
Requirements:
- 3-5 Year's experience as an RN preferred
- BSN or MSN Degree required; active RN license without limitations required
- Prior experience in women’s healthcare preferred
- BLS and ACLS required
- High energy, excellent interpersonal and multi-tasking skills, and demonstrated self-directed work ethic are required.
- Excellent listening/counseling/interpersonal, and communications skills required to manage sensitive patient situation properly
- Resourceful and well organized; committed to detail and follow-up
- Ability to work independently, demonstrate good judgment and remain composed under stress
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office; prior EMR experience preferred
- Must be available for weekend rotation and some holidays
