Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service management, team leadership, and culinary expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and food preparation
- Oversee kitchen operations during the Head Chef's absence
- Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety procedures
- Ensure high-quality food presentation and taste
- Manage inventory, ordering, and food costing
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative dishes
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or relevant role in the food industry
- In-depth knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Culinary degree or certification is a plus
