Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to work alongside our physicians and assist with patient care as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Interview: Talk with patients to gather their medical history and update their medical records.
Vital Signs: Take basic health measurements such as temperature, blood pressure, height, weight, and pulse.
Room Preparation: Get the treatment rooms and patients ready for examination.
Sterilization: Clean necessary medical tools and equipment.
Supply Management: Keep track of medical supplies and materials. Work with office coordinator to order more when needed.
X-Ray Procedures: Safely take appropriate x-rays.
Admin Support: Carry out office tasks and help at the front desk if needed.
Next Appointment: Schedule the patient's next visit.
Ideal candidate should have:
- Certified Medical Assistant training.
- Experience in orthopedics/podiatry.
- Knowledge of x-ray procedures and DME.
- Good communication and organization skills.
Scheduling:
Must be flexible from Monday-Friday availability to match the practice hours of operation.
Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand or sit; use hands; and talk or hear.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
Must be able to lift/carry up to 10lbs.
