ORR CLINICIAL SUPERVISOR
(BILINGUAL PREFERRED)
JOB SUMMARY/ROLE:
The Rancho San Antonio (RSA) Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) Clinical Supervisor possesses and implements a basic knowledge and educational background applicable to work with individuals, groups, other disciplines, and community systems within as well as outside the agency. The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the direct supervision and associated responsibilities of the ORR therapists and assists the therapists in their day-to-day responsibilities including, but not limited to, clinical work, documentation, teamwork and general supervision. This position is responsible for the effective implementation of the agency’s program statement, policies and procedures for shelter care treatment according to the standards of State Licensing, Council on Accreditation, ORR, and other regulatory bodies. The Clinical Supervisor demonstrates knowledge of trauma informed care and infuses RSA adopted trauma informed framework, Attachment, Regulation and Competency (ARC) in their daily interactions with staff and UC.
Additionally, the Clinical Supervisor may be required to conduct Assessments, provide clinical interventions, and may be assigned as the primary or temporary/adjunct therapist to clients in ORR as needed and will carry out the accompanying duties of an assigned therapist for the clinical services and other required tasks and responsibilities associated with the therapist responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Current California license (LCSW,LMFT, Ph.D/Psy.D.) granted by the State Board of Behavioral Science Examiners and the ability to supervise Mental Health interns.
- Minimum of two years post master’s experience (five or more years preferred) in a mental health setting, progressive supervisory/administrative experience in the field of behavioral health services, preferably in programs providing the care and treatment for severely emotionally disturbed youth or similar types of settings.
- Knowledge and experience with clinical documentation and electronic health record (preferably Exym.)
- Highly effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Fluent written and verbal communication in a threshold language preferred.
- Strong organizational and management skills.
7. Must fulfill all requirements of employment, including clearance of all required background records (e.g., Department of Justice, Child Abuse, California Community Care Licensing, County Sanction List, etc.), professional reference checks, physical examination with TB test, vaccinations (or authorized exemptions), and drug screening.
- Must have the visual, physical, and technical ability to independently operate a variety of office equipment including the use of a computer.
- Keep all sensitive medical and mental health information confidential in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
JOB DUTIES:
1. Learn and utilize trauma-informed framework Attachment, Regulation and Competency (ARC) in interactions and overall service delivery to unaccompanied children (UC).
2. Responsible for the direct clinical supervision of the therapists and interns in assigned ORR program.
3. Assists in the hiring of clinical staff.
4. Assumes an integrative role (primary, hands on) of training new therapists and interns during their integration into their assigned role.
5. During therapists’ extended absences, arranges for and/or covers clinical, case management, and other responsibilities and groups for their assigned program.
6. Provides consultation and assists in the design of individual treatment and interventions to meet the needs of the UC from intake through discharge.
7. Observes the day-to-day operations of the ORR program including attending groups and treatment team meetings as needed.
8. Provides training to clinical staff.
9. Participates in case consultations, crisis interventions, and team buildings as needed.
10. Reviews ORR documentation for completeness and accuracy, returning for corrections as needed, then submitting to identified administrative assistant or entering into Exym as indicated and in a timely manner.
11. Completes employee evaluations in a timely manner.
12. Covers for/assists the ORR Program Director and ORR Program Manager as indicated.
13. Attends and participates in mandatory training and in-services, maintaining mandatory training hours as outlined by CCL and ORR.
14. Performs other allied duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
All hired staff must (at the minimum) meet the following requirements:
1. Aged at least 21 years.
2. Valid California Driver’s License must be cleared by DMV record check, and proof of
auto insurance required.
3. Must have the visual, physical, and technical ability to independently operate a variety of office
equipment including the use of a computer. All agency employees, regardless of position, serve
as role models for clients, staff, and members of the community. Therefore, each employee must
always be emotionally stable and able to function effectively with children, adolescents and adults
who may have mental or behavioral health problems. They must be able to demonstrate, appropriate expression of emotions, as well as appropriate role modeling. Hostility, aggression and unnecessary
or inappropriate physical actions as well as inappropriate emotional expressions are not acceptable.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing this job, the incumbent must be able to lift heavy objects (up to 40 pounds). Will also require bending, stooping, filing, frequent sitting, twisting, typing, talking, hearing and repetitive motions. Occasional traveling, driving, walking, standing, grasping, pulling, pushing, and reaching.
