Accounting Clerk
Summary/objective
As part of the Tavoron organization, HTE is seeking an Accounting Specialist at our St Louis MO location. This candidate will process accounting transactions, including maintaining and reconciling Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable ledger accounts. HTE is looking for a candidate who is detail-oriented, organized, and proficient in accounting software and tools. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR) and General Ledger (GL) or a related field and possess excellent communication skills.
Essential functions
- Invoicing- prepare and process invoices -send/upload invoices to clients
- Manage customer portal communication and document submission
- Prepare and send Accounts Receivable Statements
- Follow-up on collections and research outstanding Accounts Receivable invoices
- Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies in billings and payments
- Enter company Employee Expense Reports
- Set up and maintain customer and vendor accounts in ERP system
- Reconcile corporate credit card statements
- Data Entry of Accounts Payable invoices
- Process Cash Disbursement and Accounts Payable checks
- Other accounting and administrative tasks as needed
Competencies
- Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and accounting systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook), with advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Knowledge of accounting software systems such as Infor; experience with other tax preparation and accounting software
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and able to prioritize.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Self-starter
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- High level of organizational skills, integrity, and accuracy

Required education and experience.
- Degree or Certification in Accounting or 1-3 Years of related experience
- Proficient computer skills- knowledge MS Excel, Outlook, Word.
- Multitask in a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure
- Ability to problem solve, make decisions and take initiative
- Be able to meet deadlines
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent teamwork skills
