Position Summary:
The Construction Estimator/Scheduler will collaborate closely with our design and sales team to understand project scope and employ LMN software in conjunction with Trade Partners to estimate and schedule projects. This role is pivotal in ensuring that projects are accurately estimated, scheduled, and executed efficiently, maintaining the high standards PSW is known for.
Key Responsibilities:
Scheduling Tasks:
1. Software Use and Schedule Preparation: Utilizing and leveraging Builder Trend software to prepare project schedules.
2. Schedule Development: Assist in the early development of project schedules during the initiation phase.
3. Review and Integration: Review design plans and specifications, develop preliminary schedules, and integrate feedback from project managers.
4. Regular Updates: Regularly update schedules throughout the project design and development phases.
5. Trade Partner Schedules: Review schedules submitted by Trade Partners, providing detailed analysis and feedback.
6. Project Tracking: In coordination with the Project management team, maintain project schedule submittal files and track lost workdays due to unforeseen circumstances.
Estimating Tasks:
1. Budget Development: Assist project design and Sales in developing project budget estimates leveraging LMN estimating software.
2. Cost Analysis: Review and analyze construction cost estimates and labor rates.
3. Change Order Estimates: Prepare estimates for proposed scope changes and assist in cost optimization.
4. Bid Analysis: Prepare bid packets for trade partners, assisting in construction bid analysis when required.
5. Trade Partner Agreements: Prepare Trade Partner Agreements with scope of work, pricing, and responsibilities.
6. Work Area’s of Estimating: Pools, Hardscape, Landscape, Carpentry Structures.-

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
· Technical Expertise: Understanding of engineering and architectural plans, construction methods, and production rates.
· Scheduling Proficiency: Knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) and Program Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT).
· Software Skills: Proficiency with standard PC software, project estimating, planning, and scheduling software.
· Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Analytical Skills: Ability to perform detailed cost and schedule analysis.
· Team Collaboration: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and work as part of a team.
· Adaptability: Ability to work under deadlines and handle multiple concurrent projects.
Physical Demands:
· Visual Requirements: Close vision required for reading engineering blueprints and documents.
· Manual Dexterity: Use of hands and fingers for writing, typing, and handling documents.
· Physical Activity: Occasionally lift and/or carry documents up to 30 pounds; may need to navigate construction sites with rough terrain.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
