Job Title: Production Planner

Position Summary
The Production Planner is responsible for evaluating demand signals from multiple sources and turning them into a production schedule that meets customers’ requirements and maximizes production efficiency. This role maintains close working relationships with Sales, Operations, and Supply Chain in order to support the continuous flow of production in the manufacturing facility. This position reports to the Director of Supply Chain.
Primary responsibilities:
· Evaluates SKU demand allocations, analyzes and plans site production schedules based on current and evolving business needs, site capacities, and special equipment or timing needs.
· Creates production schedules with the intent to maintain targeted inventory levels while balancing staffing, machine capacity, and production efficiencies The utilization of computerized models and cloud based, ERP system applications is critical.
· Partners with Supply Chain and Roasting to assure raw materials will be available to meet scheduled production.
· Engages with the Sales Team to understand priorities based on demand signals, sales trends, and policy.
· Communicates with Manufacturing Leaders and makes adjustments to the production scheduled when necessary.
· Informs critical team members of any extenuating circumstances that could cause service failures.
· Records and evaluates production data to support schedule attainment.
· Assists with item creation and maintenance within ERP system.
· Supports and participates in continuous improvement initiatives associated with manufacturing processes.
· Fulfills other duties as assigned by management.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
Minimum Required Qualifications: Will not hire someone unless they have this skillset
· Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field and 2 years of professional level job related experience in a manufacturing environment; OR 5 years of professional level job related experience.
· 2 years of experience operating within Oracle, SAP, or other prominent ERP system.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Scheduling experience in a manunfacturing environment
· Experience using Demand Caster by Plex, an attachment software for Oracle’s NetSuite ERP system.
· Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with co-workers.
· Ability to use advanced math skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft office tools, specifically Excel.
· Ability to facilitate team meetings and provide valuable input in management discussions.
· Ability to prioritize and balance multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced deadline driven environment.
· Familiarity with financial statements and terminology.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
