Veterinary Receptionist
Pinnacle Veterinary Group is looking for a mature, well-spoken, energetic and friendly receptionist to join our team. This position requires that you have outstanding communication skills, an outgoing personality, a very good memory, the ability to multitask, a strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and, of course, a love of animals. Proficiency with computer programs including Microsoft Office, utilization of the Outlook email system, and the ability to quickly learn medical record software are highly important. Our ideal candidate will have reception experience in either the veterinary or human medical field, but all motivated candidates are encouraged to apply. This is initially a part-time position with a likely move to full time within a few months. The pay scale for this position is between $12-$15/hour dependent upon experience.
Duties:
- Greet and check-in patients in a professional and friendly manner
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or staff member
- Collect patient information and update electronic medical records
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
Experience:
- Previous experience working as a veterinary receptionist or in a similar role is preferred
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Familiarity with Avimark is a plus.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills including conflict resolution
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in using phone systems and other office equipment

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
