Private Pain Management / Accident Rehabilitation in Long Island is looking for a Physician Assistant to join our team.
We are seeking a Part-Time Physician Assistant to provide quality, competent, safe and compassionate care. After training, The Physician Assistant will work independently to evaluate patients, order imaging, prescribe physical therapy, prescribe non-narcotic medications, and schedule interventional procedures.
We are seeking a candidate who is willing to make a long-term commitment to join the practice.
Job Responsibilities and required Proficiencies:
Perform focused and comprehensive assessments of patients, including history taking and physical examination in accordance with current standards as well as properly documenting the assessment/encounter in an ongoing systematic manner into the Electronic Health Record. (EHR)
Ordering and interpreting appropriate laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging reports and other medical record review.
Formulating treatment and follow up plan of care in the scope of the pain management field.
Consult with physician in the office as dictated by patient need and assessment findings.
Completion of patient forms / documents as needed / Follow up on phone calls with patients.
Travelling to Queens and Long island offices is required and a car is necessary.
Work Schedule:
2 days a week, Thursday and Friday, and it could grow into more for the right candidate.
Requirements:
NYS license as Physician Assistant & NCCPA Certification
Valid NPI & DEA
Spanish Speaking is a BIG plus.
Familiarity with EHR, basic computer skills including PDF documents, Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat
Must be punctual, reliable and team player.
Willing to train new graduates
