Job Summary
The primary function of the Production Control Clerk (G-Army Production and Planning and Control (PP&C) is to ensure the timely receipt and issue of repair parts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs duties in accordance with TAMMS, DA Pamphlet 738-750 and DA Regulations 700-138, 735-5, 750-1, and 750-8
- Assist the Production Control Lead, if assigned., shop supervisor and/or the appropriate maintenance lead in establishing production schedules based on known requirements and customer liaison.
- Assist customers submitting work orders in a professional manner.
- Process work orders into SAMS/ITDA from initiation to completion and provide leadership timely progress information.
- Maintain general publications library, standard operating procedures and government directives and regulations.
- Advises leadership on work order priority issues.
- Provides maintenance reports and statistical performance data.
- Coordinates with supply for the timey receipt of repair parts and supplies to meet customer work order completion priorities.
- Performs all other duties as assigned, as required by the contract with the customer.
Minimum Qualifications
- Familiar with maintenance regulations DA PAM 750-8, functional user's manual for Army Maintenance Management System (TAMMS).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Tier 1 level security clearance.
- Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
- Valid state driver's license is required.
- Two years minimum related experience in production control.
- Working knowledge of GCSS-Army.
- Must be eligible to obtain a forklift operator's license.
- Ability to interface with customers in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
- Experience working with computers and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently or in a collaborative environment.
- Must be able to manage time accordingly to complete the assigned task.
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
Physical Requirements/Working Environment
- Work requires sitting, standing, walking, climbing, bending and routine lifting of equipment and boxes weighing up to 25lbs. in an office environment.
- Assisted lifting of weapons and/or equipment weighing up to 90 lbs., may occasionally be required.
- Safety shoes must be worn.
